Inspiration: The Notebook

“I wrote 365 letters, I wrote you everyday for a year”

My last Get That Look: The Notebook is inspired by the scene of Noah and Allie on the lake. Noah guides them into a beautiful tree filled portion of the lake. In this scene Allie is wearing a simple yet elegant button up light blue dress with floral detail on the neckline and cap sleeves, a string of pearls, and delicate pearl earrings.

From the closet @thriftyfox, I selected this cute button down dress that is similar to Allie’s in color. This chambray light blue dress is from the brand Vintage and is available in a size M.

To make this look nearly complete, we have to add pearls! Allie wears a beautiful string of pearls, much like these from the closet @melissamcn. This listing includes a pearl bracelet and earrings as well. In the movie, Allie’s dress has some floral detail and I like that these earrings will add the touch of floral detail this look needs.

And as always, we need shoes to complete this look. I have to be honest and let you know, I watched and rewatched every scene she is in this outfit and for the life of me I cannot tell what color or style shoes she is wearing. So, I went with a simple pearl white, peep toe pump from the closet @tamarkc6. These are available in a size 9.

There is just one more piece I would love to add to this look and that is a white envelope clutch to represent the 365 letters Noah wrote Allie. From the closet @januarie_, I found this beautiful Kate Spade clutch with a beautiful eyelet detail.

The complete look:

You didn’t think I was going to leave you without a snapshot of the next scene did you? It is the most iconic snapshot of the entire movie after all.

I hope you liked the third and last post of Get That Look: The Notebook! Let me know what you think and don’t forget to check out next week’s Get That Look!

P.S. Did you know that there is more to the story of The Notebook? Nicholas Sparks’ The Wedding continues where The Notebook left off and is also one of my favorite Sparks’ books.
